Thought it might be fun to have a thread where you can post your local spot's webcam. Maybe give everyone a heads up when the waves are good so others can see what a decent day is for your spot.
Here's a local cam for my main beach.

Small today, but nice and clean. Would be fun on the Potato!

http://www.balihai.com/Blog/kauai-hd-webcam/ This cam is actually run by a local real estate company. It should be turned a little more to the right to see the best part of the reef.

Sadly it's not loading up for me, maybe a mac problem?
Here's a back up spot at home, when the swell is big and the winds a bit cross shore at the main beaches we tend to head here. To the right of the beach as you look out there's a rocky reef next to the harbour wall that offers a short, slabby peak at high tide.

The boogey boarders love it... On a stand up it's bloody hard to put yourself in the spot and get into it. There's only a few guys who really try and even fewer that can pull it off. It's not the most predictable wave, and it jacks up and throws over so quick you often end up air dropping into it, so if you put yourself deep you can easily end up way too deep or freefalling to the flats and getting the lip straight on your head. It'd be a real fun wave to do some little whip-ins with a ski and set up for the barrel.
I'm sure if you put a bunch of pro's on it they'd go nuts paddling, but as I said I've only see a couple of locals guys really get in behind the peak and make it with any consistency.
To be honest that pic doesn't tell the whole story. Here's a better one

I always loved the Wall (or Fox Point). Not quite a flooded with the clueless beginner as Narragansett and not quite as localized as Point Judith - although Judith is a really nice wave. I used to surf on the south side of the lighthouse (the left), which we dubbed "Excalibur" because you had to avoid this one section that had all this rebar sticking out of huge chunks of concrete. The river mouth at Ogunquit can get just SICK.

I live in Narragansett for almost 2 years while my wife went to grad school at URI and the left at Pt. J was one of my favorite waves being goofy. Seriously days in the summer where the right handers would be mobbed and my buddy and I would surf South Side with no 2 other people.

Ireland has become some exotic holiday destination for touring types of surfers and with the huge growth in surfing our local known spots are all busy, but there are loads of less well known places harder to get to which are still empty. I think the fact it rain 263 days a year will help maintain this isolation of a desolate place. 3 degrees with a stiff northwesterly this morning, planning a sheltered spot for the afternoons surf, Dom or SP is looking strong potentially.

Slater gets a welcome back at Ours... http://www.swellnet.com.au/galleries/2812-king-hit/images/80980

One of our famous spots that I've never surfed! I've surfed Shark Island which can be mechanical and consistent but Ours is just one of those places which will warp at any time. There is nothing easy about Ours getting in and out of the water is difficult and you'd better be sure of the timing of the sets! Decades ago as a teen I used to just go and sit on the rocks and watch big swells roll through when everywhere was out of control and think it looked surfable but the Outside wave just passed too close to the rock platform and yet years later here they all are. Although the waves on Thursday were at Inside Ours but not quite as daunting until you have to get out of the water.
