  • DA size vs Spud

Howdy, I am going to change my 5'8" FST spud out for a DA. The spud size is perfect for me for what I use it. I am 90kg, 6 ft 43 yrs. What size would the equivilent grovel board be a DA? 5"10 or 6'0"? Thanks.

my understanding (and I could be wrong here) is you go around 6" longer with the DA (same size as you would ride a DM or SF). Obviously this all comes down to personal preference, but that would put you on a 6'2" DA. Based on your weight though, i think you would comfortably go a 6' version.

Thanks Justo, I am thinking the same, 6'0". Is one thing but when I look at the dimensions, the 5'10" is very close to the 6'0", only 1.3 litres in volume and a 1/4 inch narrower.

        Hi,

I'm 82 kg and 180 cm and I ride the 5:8 which suits me well. i tried the 5:10 and it seemed a little bit corky for me. As a lot of people say here in the forum you can surf it quite low in volume.

Thanks Cam, that's interesting. No demo here so need to make my mind up at some stage.
