  • First dings to my Timbertek (HELP!!)

    Hi people!!

My board got 2 scratches in the back of my truck. I only have regular Quick fix resin mix. Like both dings/scratches are small, can I use the Quickfix?

Attached 2 photos for each ding.

Any advice will me very helpful, please help.

    Thank you!!

That rail ding needs a proper repair for sure.

Firstly ensure foam is dry. I would fill hole with a water proof exterior wood putty (colour matched) then sand around ding. Next use epoxy glass over some cloth (2-4oz) to seal. Allow to dry then sand and polish gradually getting down to 1000 grade wet and dry followed by a automotive paint cutting cream (kitten #2 is okay or Mcquires scratch remover).
Remember to tape area around ding to stop sanding undamaged area. So by the time you buy the paper, tape, putty and cloth and resin and mess it up and dig it out etc - you could get it done by someone who knows what they are doing. Or have a go yourself but take your time

Phill and Jambo Thank you!! I think I will take the board to the local shaper/ding repair guy. He will fix it way better than I could, and I love this board so I want it in good shape.

        Thank you again guys!!
