Waiting for the MB to go to live, quick question to those who know, if you took the 6'2 thin and made it wider saw 1/4 to 1/2 how would that effect performance.
1. would it make it paddle a little easier
2. would it decrease or increase preformance in steep, sucky, barrelling waves.
3. make it less loose or more
4. make it feel more like a hybrid.
5. slow it down or speed it up
thanks going to play with one then order can't wait for this template.

Hey Seabass, answers above!!Originally posted by seabass View PostWaiting for the MB to go to live, quick question to those who know, if you took the 6'2 thin and made it wider saw 1/4 to 1/2 how would that effect performance.
1. would it make it paddle a little easier - YES
2. would it decrease or increase preformance in steep, sucky, barrelling waves. - Depends on your weight and ability and familiarity with the volume that your board ends up at.
3. make it less loose or more - difficult to constrain, if the volume is right for you it should make the board perform better.
4. make it feel more like a hybrid. - Nahh i doubt that unless you take the volume WAY up or you are really light.
5. slow it down or speed it up - Speed it up. More volume always means more float, which leads to more speed.
thanks going to play with one then order can't wait for this template.
