Don't really here too much about the flexfires
I've only recently discovered these hidden treasure
Wanted to know if anyone had a favorite flexfire in their quiver
I had a ride of a friends 6'1 round tail and was blown away

Can't ride them!!! I like a little extra foam on my boards. Core will swear for them. Have a 6'2" which rarely sees the water
I like the look of the 6'2" x 18"5/8 x 2"1/4 round tail but haven't ridden one.
Tried my mates 6'1" x 18.25" x 2.25" and it was far too skinny for me in average waves. Could probably ride it on a punchy head high reef but I definitely feel more confident on other boards.
if your aim is to surf in a conventional modern competition style..(even if just surfing for fun) then the 6'2 x 18 3/4 x 2 1/2 is flat out THE one board quiver for anyone around 6ft and low 70's kg to 90 kg+...it is a full performance board with as much foam/area as can be used without compromise and a full HP rocker and a semi thumb tail that works in ALL waves..if you can surf, then it will work in small marginal stuff right up to whatever you can paddle it into...if i was good enough to compete..(which i am not....too old..too unco..!!)..this would be the board i would use in pretty much everything to score points...except hawaii obviously......
here's shots of it off the old forum, held by a guy who spent all his money on boards and can't afford clothes......or just wont wear them.....!

and here it is in a 70kg greyhounds quiver....

That board looks thin from side on, can't say the same for "Brad" though. ;)
the bamboo deck has "disappeared" into the brown shutter...its 2 1/2 at the center domed down to a similar rail to my hellfire at 2 3/8 and carried more into the nose and tail compared to a taj...i've ridden it at over 90kg plus steamer in serious waves..no problems...light guys also have no problems with it...its one of those totally usable shapes...no hidden surprises...what you put in is what you get out...
danga....brad was a little "detuned" here as he had just spent a few weeks flat out in bed...with a bad back....not angelina...!!...
core getting brad pitt creepy.
