FST is heavier, partically in the boards with the heavy double concaves it seems. The trade off is you get a lot more durability from the construction.
I'm a fan of the quad with nubster setup....

Training sucks but even a little bit makes a big difference.
Check out the surf stronger DVD too. Some basic exercises that are targeted at improving surf techniques.

From the sounds of it the Techflex fins are the best for withstanding kiting forces.
The Dominator was the start of that design. Fuller template, plenty of volume, low rocker and smooth continuous curve in the outline.
The Spitfire is basically the Dominator but with the rail line...
Yeah rail volume would definitely be a really good tweak. I can handle centreline thickness but don't like the rails too thick. It starts getting pretty complicated and expensive to implement from...
Real similar to what I was planning but mine was 510 x 19" x 2.38"
I reckon it'll be an insane board!
I'm praying the Vanguard gets added to the CBD. Otherwise I'm probably going to have to try and get one made locally with stringerless EPS core, carbon rails and kevlar deck.
I'd rather stick with...
I think I print screened mine and uploaded it to photobucket or something.
I've got a 510 Alt in the 28.5l range that I really want to order. Looks fun for smaller, good waves. It's all Vanguard...
It's too complicated to do before the full file is generated. It would be cool though because there's some trial and error involved currently with the tweaking.
Yeah I agree, 510 was prob a little low. I think with a board already dedicated to smaller conditions there's no need to go huge on the UB though.
I don't know the volumes off hand, but but I'd have...
I'd look at the 510 or 511 Unibrow, if you've got a Pier Pony for the smaller stuff the UB will give you a broader range as I find even the Spitfire feels a bit flat, wide and clunky in head-high...
I was coming in from a surf on mine the other day just proning in on the white water and just out of interest I was doing my best to push the nose under and nose dive. I was really struggling to get...
Kinetic Racing Dusty Payne by the looks.
I second that. The CBD produces magic boards!
Yeah but it's so fast you can just draw smooth lines between maneuverers and rarely have to drive with the front foot. Fun fun!
Surfing in the dark, alone over reef in Aus doesn't sound like my idea...
Sizing felt good? Nice to hear it only took 2 waves to click. Took me more like 20+!
Nice one, will do if I can ever make it happen! :)
Gotta make it up there one day, it looks so fun when it's in the head high + range! I'd probably give it a miss on the 3 times overhead + and howling offshore days...
Yewww that's a bomb!
Would be fun around kuta when it's smaller and prob some of the other spots but certainly wouldn't be my board of choice for any of the 'main' spots when there's some swell.
I reckon if you're a bigger guy riding a longer UB that isn't over volumed it'd make a good bigger wave board. If you're a tall, light guy on a little 508 then it's not going to be so great when it's...
I think the centre is wider making the tail look narrower. That might not be the case and you could be right.
There's possibly some coming in next month but I'd email a couple of dealers regarding...
I checked out a JK the other day. Really liked it.
TT is the same as FST, which I think is very fair!
Yeah definitely is! I don't really know what advice to give, but kind of just relax and draw your lines out a bit and use the speed the board carries and then figure out the release etc once you get...
