I have never had FST so I could not tell you.
And for wax removal, I would highly recommend using a plastic wax scraper lightly then The Pickle to remove the bulk of it.
Great advice prjwebb. Sent an email to Chris not expecting to hear back from him until Monday. But he replied right back.
He advised me to use a blowdryer to heat up the glue on the traction pad...
That's why I am freaking out, I guess. Hope Chris or someone at Firewire can provide us with some guidance.
Yes. As I was removing the decals pff the board, I used the corner of my fingernail to lift the sticker up and I took a tiny speck of wood with it.
My kicker is about a half inch behind the rear quads.
Prjwebb - I feel you. Will give it a few more sessions. Right now the kicker is behind the rear quad fins. Thinking it shooild be over the rear fins instead. Know what I mean?
FE fan - I am anxious about this because even though the TG construction is structually stronger, I have found the surface to be soft and susceptible to having small pieces of wood lift off if you...
prjwebb - I placed the traction pad right up against the leash plug and found my self slpwing down a little tp much when my foot would engage the kicker portion of the traction pad.
I want to...
FW - Fan you are right LOL my OCD has taken over
What is the safest way to remove wax and a traction pad from a TechnoGrain board?
I put my traction board too far back on my TG BP.
Many thanks in advance!!!
Megsy - did you have to do anything different to remove the wax from a TG board?
Also does anyone know the best way to remove a traction pad from a TG board? I don't want to lift off any wood w...
Chris - can you please tell me how to remove a trackpad from a Techno Grain board?
I set the kicker too far back and realized this after a sesh.
Chris (or anyone who knows what to do) - What is the safest way to remove a traction pad from my TG BP? Put one on a few days ago and realized I set it too far back for my liking after a session.
@prjwebb thank you!!!
@iggy and @piha_local thank you for your thoughtful responses. they are very helpful.

prjwebb - why a 5'6"? the volume on my 5'3" BP is around 32L. I was very concerned that the 30L volume on a 5'8" Spitfire would not be enough.
csarqui - thank you for your input. what kind of waves do you ride it in?
Gonna be a guinea pig and put down a deposit for a Spitfire Technograin. I already have a Baked Potato in 5'3" and paddling is not a problem for me on that board and that displacement is around 32L....
Thank you hawaii_boi
How do you like your Spitfire in the 5'8" length? I am thinking about a 5'10" ...
Hello Everyone!
