Don't get too worried just yet.
1-Everyone ( I hope ) with a 5 fin board will find that the tail pad is over the back of the rear centre fin. And therefore entirely behind the rear quad fins. (This...

Yes Dave, they are the test conditions to end all test conditions. In a way I wish it was a taj, MB, Artillery, Flex, or HR I was testing. Once I have a working iPhone cable I will post some other...
Yeah. It's almost indistinguishable! Except Tama breaks left as wellas right, the water temp never gets below 22, and the crowd is only ever half that size. LOL
I bought my CC for good quality waist to head high surf, so for me I reckon the 5'6" VG has that covered.
That swell had been hovering in that region for a few days and I'd caught some good ones on...
Actually, I was thinking about how much I enjoyed the 5'6" and realised that there is really no need to wait.
1 x 5'6" VG ordered. Hope I can sell the 5'11" CC quickly.
I saw that 5'10" when I was in the shop yesterday - guessing that was you talking to Col on the phone while I was there.
Board looked pretty nice and at a good price too.
I would have thought that at 5'6 or 5'8" its already way shorter and more sensitive than the 6'0" - 6'4" boards I could ride in the FW line-up.
However both are either side of (what I consider) my...
As I start this I realise you meant the other Phil. Anyway, I ran KRacing JP Carbo Tune thruster setup, so a big based fin. Loved them. Thought they may have been too much at 6 foot Bells but no....
Looking good Core. Hope it clicks for you. It's a ripper of a board if it does.
Just between you and I, I reckon the 5'8" will be the biz and can't wait to test it. But don't tell Core. You'll catch heaps more waves.
Still, that 5'6" demo went real nice.
The only reason I have mentioned testing a 5'8" is so you don't get too upset Core.
I dont want no 5'8".
I think you will froth on the 5'6" as though it is the God of your 5'10" HF.
It is -...
Took a 5'6" for a demo at 4-6 foot Bells Beach. (I'm prob 88-89kg at the moment)35km offshore wind so it was a real tester. I was again surprised at the speed. The board felt super stable as well as...
The post from Mark said "in around 2 months" and that was near the end of March.
Lucky for me I just had the chance to demo a 5'6" VG at 3 -4 foot Winkipop. And it clicked for me straight up. It rode how I thought my ex hellfire should have. As fast as my old Tommy Peterson...
I am pretty much the same weight and enjoy the HS large. I think they have under 33 degrees. Most of the larger futures are 35-36. The Roberts also look like the are fairly upright. Both have the V2...
The FW sub is actually more like the SS2 in that neither has any V. The original PU Sub Scorcher did have some V out the tail.
Below from the Lost website-
Sub-Scorcher II
We removed all off...
I'm at 88kg and riding the MD 6'0" and loving it. Paddles nicely, and low enough volume in the rail to bite properly when wanted. A great "good wave" all rounder from 2-6 foot. Maybe larger.
Oh no, more temptation!!
Beautiful looking board. Really sits well with the decor.
And that is the truth at any 'Premium' break. Unless you're JBG!
Pretty happy my local doesn't qualify, but its still a 3 set sin bin! lol
I believe he is on the 5'6", so he has gone 2" longer than his 5'4" Dom and only 0.7l less. Mind you, the Uni only starts at 5'6"
Now that is what I call "Glassy"!!!
Me too. I was so disgruntled that once I was old enough to purchase my own board that the belly channel had been forgotten. And I really loved the forerunner to the double concave - the bonzer...
To be honest, I would just as soon go back to the new original version of FCS - without movement fore and aft - before taking up the new version.
I do think however that it could be -from some...
Oopps! I meant 'chunky' boards. Freudian slip from my 80s teenage method of choosing boards.
