How much do you weigh, Fabio?
I'm 80kg and surf in a 5.4mm + boots/hood/gloves.... and I'm really glad I didn't go any bigger than 5'11, I think I could easily surf a 5'10 as well. The CC feels...
Just have to tell you guys what an amazing board the 5'6 Potatonator is. This is the magic one for me and the average surf we get here, and this board with PC SF4 quad fins is perfect. Great speed...
PC SF4 quad, goes perfect with the 5'6 Potatonator! Haven't tried the K2.1 quad yet, but for a 60kg rider they might feel right.
yeah, I hope so @pmorgan :)
Will have to see how the CC goes and then I might swap the step-up for something else... but I really think that the CC will work well in most conditions...
Got to surf the potatonator for a couple of hours. There was a small crowd, some waiting for the sets and cross on wind so there a lot of closeout. Waves around waist to shoulder size, soft with some...
YES! Hope I get to test one of them out this evening.
I ended up with that pad on both of my new boards :)

I liked this CI pad that S.L. uses on his 5'6. They come in various colors.

PC5 Bamboo?
surfed the 5'8 Spitfire with SF4 PC quad fins today, and in soft waves where you need speed but have 2-3 nice sections where the wave have som shape to it, this is the best setup for me. Definitely...
well, I've done it.... the order is in. 5'11 CC and 5'6 -nator on the way. A buddy of mine has a new 5'8 -nator that he want to swap, so I'll try the 5'6 first and if it doesn't feel right in the...
ah, nevermind. After reading Fazzas review I think the CC is the right one for me.
If only there was perfect surf every day, choosing a surfboard wouldn't be that hard ;)
Just about to place my order.... think I've decided to go with the 5'8 Potatonator to maximize wavecount and get the most out of the bottom range of the waves.
Been thinking a bit abut the Unibrow...
Oh, my bad... I was thinking of the Sub Scorcher. then the 5'8 Dominator is probably the right one, even as a grovel board.
Will you be keeping the 6'0 Sub Driver? That board's got 32.5 liters of volume... so if you feel like that volume is right for you and the Dominator is for the bottom end of the scale and the...
Chris: have you tried both the 5'6 and 5'8? Would you get the 5'8 if you didn't have the baked potato or does the 5'6 grovel just as good as the 5'8 for you?
What size would compliment the 5'11 CC...
custom: what did you end up with, 5'6 or 5'8 ? And how does it work out ?
That's what I'm hoping for... but you're about 10kg lighter than me... so the reason for why you didn't feel much difference in the 5'6 and 5'8 might be because they both had a lot of volume for you?...
It's not working for you ?
noooo, not more options! ;)
I really liked the Potatonator shape and how it surfed, just want to get the right size. The sweet potato is really fun, but it does have to be surfed a certain way and...
Had the chance to try out a 5'8 Potatonator today. Not the ideal conditions, with side-on wind and weak waves in the knee to waist range. The board felt lighter than my 5'4 sweet potato, and did feel...
I'm selling the sweet/spit/alt... only keeping the step-up... so the only boards I'll have will be: potatonator + chubby chedda + flexfire.
Yeah, I know the the 5'8 will have more bottom range......
