I wouldn't be using acetone!! Use a hair dryer or very carefully use a heat gun to soften the glue on the tail pad and it should lift ok. Be careful not to heat too much
They would be way too much volume I agree with Hawaii in both the Baked and Potatonator
Still showing as current on the website so I would think so,
definitely EPS
I would let it dry as long as possible. A couple of days is probaly not long enough
It sounds like it has been taking on water for a while to discolour the deck, EPS will suck in water!! If it has taking on for sometime it will take a longtime to get it dry. I would take it to a...
I'm 93kg and ride a 5'7" at 51yrs plenty of float
I would think those lengths will be ok at your weight. What type of waves are you riding, beachies, reefs steep sucky or mush?
what do you weigh??
I guess it is always up to personal perference, is 36L way under volume or just? Do you catch all waves you go for on 36L? Can you demo a baked ?
Depending how you find your paddling on 36L I would think 5'7' is giving you 4L extra volume for added paddle power. Just my humble opinion but 5'9" is packing alot of extra volume foran Int/Adv...
I'd say 5'9" would be perfect in the Baked if you want the extra volume otherwise you could go the 5'7" at 39.9L which is still more than your shortboard you def do not want it to feel boaty. 5'5"...
I'd go the 5'5" baked more performance based
I concur 5'5" Baked
Got to love google. Quote is from the Bible John 10:10
I use a piece of foam and foam dust to remove residue wax. Just a little heat to soften the glue on the old tail pad, but take care. Wax and grease remover for paint prep is good to completely clean...
I'm about your weight and I'm going to go 6'4"
At 92kg I have no trouble paddling in small waves on my baked your 8kg lighter
I think it may feel like a boat at your weight
I'm still a Grom at 51 and have as much fun now as ever. I'm with Fan I tell my kids I've just hit middle age and am probably fitter than alot of 17 year olds, Move it or lose it I say, go hard or...
Get both !! They both rock definitely different rides quite a bit of crossover but they feel so different you can mix it up
My baked is a 5'7" and the same volume as my Potatonator,at the same weight as you so I'd say 5'6"
I say go the Potatonator if you want a groveller 5'4" would be my pick IMHO great fun can easily handle head high
Sally through to the quarters! She's surfing so well froth!!
