I have been riding my 6'0 Dom as a quad and it has been going very good but after reading about the deviant fin decided to give it a go. I have G5 fins in my board and with the deviant in my board seems very fast and loose.(maybe that is just the Dom.) I also have a 6'6 flexfire (2nd hand) that I have had for 2 months but have not ridden yet. Today there was a good swell at the local left hand point (8-12ft faces) (I'm a natural footer) I put in the G5 fins and deviant and was stoked at the way my flexfire went. I could drive off the bottom and turn off the top with power and speed and cutback with a foam bounce very smooth and fast.(Hope the swell stays around) All in all very happy with the deviant.( and my 2 firewires, maybe just need a 6'0 Hellfire and I will have all bases covered, oh and maybe a 5'5 baked potato as well.)

On a side note I was wondering if anyone knows the difference between the FCS G series fin and the FCS M series fin. I have both but have only used the G5 so far as it seems to go pretty good. I also hace a set of FG3's but as I'm 87kg I though they might be a little small for my boards as the 5's don't feel too big,especially as I will only be riding the flexfire in overhead + waves and my Dom seems to like a bigger fin.

I have just brought a couple of firewires, a 6'0 Dominator and a 6'6 Flexfire (2nd hand and cheap). I was wondering if you can tell how old the board is (not that important, just curious) by the details on the side of the board?

I have only ridden the Dominator so far, in waves from 2' to 10' faces. It goes very well, especially in 3' to 6' faces.(Left Flexfire at home on 7' to 10' face day as I didn't think it would be that big.) The Dominator still went good on the bigger day but it would of been good to try out the Flexfire. I am very happy with my boards and will be definitely buying Firewires from now on. I have ridden a 5'8 Sweet Potato demo(didn't have a 5'6) and couldn't believe how good it went in 1' to 3' face surf. Definitely on my wish list. Also am thinking of a 6'0 or 6'2 Hellfire when money permits.
I have a 6'4 Byrne HP Tufflite in my garage that goes well but I think it will be getting dusty as I will be riding the firewires (especially the Dominator) from now on.
