Thanks for answering that one; didn't think it would be a major. Still amped - new Dom on its way!

Just in from a sweet session on a demo 6'4" Dominator....have to say it lived up to expectations. In chunky 3-4 foot beach break duck dived well, took the drops no problem & so smooth through the turns. Also real balanced off the foam...
Thanks for the advise guys - another convert about to place an order!
One question though : on largest wave why a distinct whistle from the board through the bottom turn?

    Yep i'm hearing you...
Have popped the question over on a Dominator thread; will see what advise is there.
Firewire is great - just need to find the right stick.
    Surf on !

Have been looking at an Addvance as a small wave/ higher wave count board but thread advise has been that even the 6'6 at my weight (72kgs) and coming off a 7' x 20 1/2 x 2 1/2 would be too much board...
Any thoughts on the ideal Dominator option ? ( mid 40's / 30 years exp / ride once or twice a week)

Thanks stc67 great summary of how the addvance works for you. It sounds like a good all round wave-catcher board that can still be ridden reasonably hard. I do wonder though if i'll find it a little corky given my weight and compared to what i' m currently riding. Think a demo will answer these queries. Dominator possibility too but the 6'4 or 6'6 in this seem to be ideal for a much heavier surfer & the drop in length might be an issue...
Thanks too Iggy. Yeah wouldn't go bigger than a 6'6 in the Addvance - if i got a PU custom might drop to a 6'8. I'm a reasonably competent surfer but been too many years since I've riden shortboards:-)

Looking at getting an Addvance 6'6" as a small wave/higher wave count board. I'm 72 kgs, 40+, and have been riding mid-lengths for the past 15 years - regular board is 7'x20 1/2 x 2 1/2 .Any advise on the Addvance vs something else in the range?
