Just make sure you get good quality fins.
I couldn't believe the noticeable difference between the cheaper plastics and the fiberglass.
With the cheaper fins I could notice a distinct " drift" when pushed hard ,but when I swapped for a good quality fin with the same template the improvement was immediately noticeable.
Cheers

Hi Guys
Just saw cuttlefish's response and yes that would have been my assumption that it would be a " drive monster"
However the controllers are a contradiction, they hold great when needed ( I've pushed them real hard in well overhead surf and they've never hinted at letting go ) but they seem really loose when you want.
As I said I'm sold on them
Thanks

Hi guys,
I've had an Addvance for over 2 yrs now
The first was a 7.02 fcs thruster set up, the best thing I did was to get rid of the plastics it arrived with and replaced them with fiberglass AM2,s. I couldn't believe the improvement.
Enjoyed the 7.02 so much that I then got a 6.10 with 5boxes in futures
Have tried a number of combinations and absolutely LOVE the Controller Quads
Cheers

Hi,
Yes definitely, the 6 10 Addvance has now become my go to board in virtually all surf,
really easy to throw around and definitely handles both big and small stuff.
All in all a really versatile board.
Currently riding it with Futures Controller Quads and love them, mind you the big AM 2's worked well as a thruster too!
Seriously I'd take this board anywhere,

Terry,
Get the Addvance, you wont regret it. I got the 702 and loved it, a really versatile board, from knee high to well overhead.
I enjoyed it so much that I moved down to the 610 and it's my go to board.
I've also ridden the 606 and it floated me fine, but I like the wave catching advantage the 610 gives me.
I can still compete with the young groms and hotties!
Definitely a far superior board to the surftech mccoy.
Oh yes for your info I'm 60 yrs young and 98kgLeave a comment:

Hi, My advice born from experience is go for the Addvance. I've had the 7S and while it was OK the Addvance surfs rings around it. I've also had a 6'8" McCoy and altho' I know alot of guys really rate the Nugget (and rip on them too) I just couldn't get the hang of it. Too much area and float in the tail for me. I've also surfed the Dominator extensively in all types of surf up to well over head high, it really is a great board. But from reading your post I would suggest the Addvance, maybe even consider going down to the 6'10". I had a 7'2" addvance and loved it so much that it became my go to board. Unless the surf was pumping I would ride it in almost any thing, from small to well overhead, it handles it all. I'm 95kg and 60yrs young and I enjoy the Addvance as an alternative to a longboard, so much so that I bought the 6'10". You say you have friends with Nuggets I suggest you ask one of them to let you try one, see if you like it. As you can see I'm endorsing the Addvance, believe me you wont regret it.
