The plan shape reminds me of the dom especially the tail, the nose seems a bit narrower and there is definitely more flip in the nose and a more refined looking foil.
    Jesus is coming, look busy!
Moving forward or just spinning faster?

Haven't surfed it yet. It's 1ft at best today and then howling onshores next week. I'll try and find somewhere out of the wind for a paddle though and will let you know.

seabass generally speaking, when comparing the two, the mini driver and the sub scorcher are quite a bit different.

the MD rides like it has a longer rail and feels like it has bit more rocker, thus it tends to like slightly better conditions. additionally the round tail makes it feel as though it prefers a bit more speed to come alive and really give you that lift in the tail where you can really start pushing hard.

the SS rides like a traditional thruster squashed into a shorter, wider, thicker shape. the tail is wide and blunt and the rocker is relaxed so you get up and going very easily. you definitely need less speed for your tail to get up on the wave and the board planing with enough speed for you to really cut loose.

In my opinion, you are looking at the SS in softer conditions for the thigh to head high range or so while the MD you are grabbing in faster waist to slightly overhead waves.

    Cheers and hope this helps

yeah it definitely can grovel, but there are boards that are better for it. no doubt. in my opinion, it shouldn't be viewed as a grovel board. It is entirely a high performance hybrid...

boards with better low end would include dominator spitfire el fuego.

Those surfers that are comfortable with lower volume in smaller surf, however will do fine.

Hey Robin. I put in an advance order back in June when they were first unveiled. Unfortunately that order still couldn't be met and they won't be over here until November.
Mark Price was kind enough to slip one in his board bag for me while on a trip over here last week so I got super lucky!

Thanks Chris, I hope the MD will be my bigger, better day board over the SS and have that differant feel to keep things interesting. I only surf beach breaks, beach can hold up to double over head at the extreme end..... about 10 times a year....... generally waist to half over head is the norm. SS has been great except for the upper end. I am sure the MD will cover this, it was a tough choice between the Jack and Razor. MD now and i will wait for some of these new 2013 models to cover any waves i might be missing out on. Can't wait to see the Tomo designs............
