Mini Driver vs Stealth

Yeah Wandi pretty much. Although I'm sure it'll handle the same conditions. I think the CBD would be the pick for steep sections with turns in mind. The MN for longer walls or fun size tubes.
It'll be my everyday board for 2-3ft too I reckon.

I know this question has been asked before but I just picked up a 6'2 minidriver and a week later a friend sold me his 6'2 stealth for dirt cheap. Is this overkill of the same board? Debating should I get rid of the Stealth since the minidriver is brand new. Just wondering if both boards can come in handy for different waves? I also picked up a subscrocher for smaller days so trying to figure out where the stealth would fit in.

I sold the 6'0 HF because there is too much crossover with the MD. The Stealth, whilst a great board, is a lower performance hybrid compared to the MD. It just doesnt have the same range despite having the same dims and similar volume. Whilst I am a more is better kind of guy when it comes to boards...you dont need both the MD and the Stealth in my view.

Thanks, yeah I decided to put it on ebay. I just got the board dirt cheap so I didnt know if i could use it as well.

So I finally got the MD out in solid pitching head high surf and the board was sick.( I have the Kinetik parko quad setup) but I took it out the next day in shoulder high slow roller type of waves and I just couldn't get it going. Do you guys chg your fin setup for slower waves?

I'd found mine to be pretty damn quick in all conditions, especially as a quad. Try shifting your weight around a bit, I found in weaker waves if I push my weight too far forward it would plow water and struggle to get moving.

That said, the board is no groveller and unless you're fairly light on your feet there are other boards better suited to slacker conditions.

I havent had mine out in great waves yet but twice this board took off so quick that it caught me by surprise and I kooked it (even more than usual). I actually started to contemplate if a board could be too fast...cant wait to get it out in the right surf to really test it out.
