    Another what size question

    Hi everybody

Usually surfing longboards, I'd like to try a shorter board and the addvance seems to be a good choice ....
But what size to choose ?
    I'm 6'1'' tall and about 240 lbs.
When I make a try with the firewire's volume calculator the answer is the 6'10'' .
    Can I trust it ?
I'm 40 years old and I use to surf two or three times per week.
Thanks for your answers and sorry for my poor english

Hey Tabasco, si hablamos espaņol pues no te preocupes, pero de todas maneras tu ingles esta bastante bien.
6'10" sounds pretty much up your alley considering you are an intermediate surfer.Great board, surprisingly friendly and responsive, perfect stepdown from LB.
What size longboard are you currently riding?
Si te sientes mas en confianza hablando espaņol sientete en la libertad de hacerlo
    165cms 89Kgs dry...working on that at the moment...but not working!!! :)

    Hi Iggy

Thanks for your quick answer. My spanish is much worse than my english. In fact I'm french , and I use to surf in south west of France.
My all day board is a 9'6'' speed shape longboard.
I'd like to try a shorter board when waves break to close to the shore for my LB, like during high tide.
But as you guessed , I don't want to loose too much of the paddling comfort from my longboard .
When according to you the 6'10'' will make it , I think I'm gonna try it.
But I'm still open to other opinions.
    Bye
