FST Versus Rapid Fire, does one have more float?

The kid at the board shop said that the FST is a heavier more sturdy construction. Not sure what this added weight does but I was wondering does one float better than the other or does one sit heavier in the wave than the other? Is the float the same regardless of weight?

If you look at the volume chart for each board you will see they are the same so I would say they are the same float, they just have differing flex characteristics

yeah the float difference reallly is minor. 50young answered it pretty well. the difference in weight and flex characteristics are what you will notice more. Even though FST is a touch heavier its hard to feel any difference in float, and the weight differences are quite small...

    cheers
