got a 5'7" Activator - heres some thoughts

    2013-01-27 14.14.50.jpg

gave it a little spray first
and have been surfing it as a twinny with a trailer cause it reminded me of the MTF that Dane Reynolds used to ride and he had a similar setup

Well its a super fun board
Its probably gonna replace my El Fuego as my small wave goto board
quick of the mark and really had no issue going straight up

I've tried it as a quad (Stretch) and it went super well too
I've just been surfing it in marginal waist to chest high waves and its a perfect little board for that

I think this is a very much underestimated board

I'll try and film a gopro session on it some time to give you a better idea
but waves have really been very marginal recently

Hey Deon how would you rate the alt as an allrounder, from say 1'-5' has it got the planning speed for early entry like the dom/spit in the small stuff 1'3'?

Nice spray job that looks sick! Agree that the activator is a great board. I am on a 5.11 right now but it is way too big for me and I will be going to a 5.9 Activator or 5.6 Potatonator soon.

    thanks meekthefreak
suncoast - yes nice and quick of the mark, its quite thick and wide up front, but also handles being surfed in the pocket well
good little allround small wave board, but not for complete gutless waves like the sweet potato

    can't stop surfing this board
    its so much fun
and really loves to come straight off the bottom and up on the lip
    great in the barrel
have been surfing it as a twinny with stabilizer as well as a quad and goes well as both
sits so nicely under your feet
