Yeah Kdropin, definitely could, it grovels really well. Actually I am really liking the feeling of volume AND tail rocker. it makes the board go well in average surf, but still perform when the wave is proper. the industry has really trended towards flatter overall rocker so we are used to all this speed, volume and shortness, but the Michel brings back rocker with out hammering versatility so you can really rip it.
East Coasters should rejoice with this one. Say good by to the chippiness of the Taj/Flexfire and embrace the usability of the Michel. think waist high plus unless its SUPER mushy. Board will max out when you would be stepping up from your regular shortboard.

thats what i like to hear.. the more i've been thinking i want to get back to a more "standard" type shortboard that still paddles pretty well.. i really miss a standard squash as well. i feel like i surf the best off of one.. at 170ish 6'0 2 3/8 a good call for east coast waves for me?? will you be riding the thinned our mb in the 6'0 when you get it or the original thicker one? i'm usually right around your size boards which works great to be able to bounce ideas off you.. stoked on this one as well... thanks!

Hey Noreberg...Did you make up your mind? I actually replied to this thread 2 times and both times I lost it somehow...It didn't go up! I got so pissed I gave up! ha!
Anyway the Quadra 5 is not enough volume for your weight and where you surf. I know you wull be way more stoked with the 604. You won't notice the 2 3/4" thickness in the water, trust me. You'll be flying!
Nev
Hey Nev
Ha ha, no worries.
I am kind of leaning toward the thicker MB 6'4:-) It sound like a perfect match. I am only curious to how refined the rails are so would be great to be able to compare it to another board in the line before pre-ordering it.
I have a few FW boards to compare with so which one would be the closest, you think?
Spitfire 6'2
Flexfire 6'4 x 19"
Altenator (old version) 6'4
Quadra-5 6'2
Taj (old version) 6'4
Cheers,
Hey Nev
Not sure if you got my last post. I have a MB604 2 3/4 locked in at boardshop.com.uk, but havent confirmed it yet. Bit curious to see your response on my previous post:-)
Cheers for all the great feedback,
Hi there Chris, are we any closer on getting some dims for the mb pro model as in nose and tail widths or will they be in compare boards in the near future.Just interested in the 6 ft board and trying to work out if the volume at 29.9 liters is going to be enough float for me at 5'10 and 83 kg.I see you have the 6 ft model .
How does she paddle. Could you possibly measure the nose and tail on your stick and post results. Thanks old chap!
hey dawn...im 90 and a bit....i ride 28-29.5 lts... i will probably ride the MB in 602 29.8...probably...still nutting it out...may go razor instead...struth, who knows...!!...i'll end up on whatever our guru and leader tells me to ride..!!..
"the leader is good, the leader is great, surrender your will, as of this date....
