Oh dear! Chris, when you have such charming ales like Stones Arrogant Double Bastard Ale and other IPAs, why mention let alone drink such swill! Then of course there is the more mass produced Sierra Nevada Fat Tire Ale (similar to Coopers (red) Sparkling Ale) and even Sam Adams or Becks is so much nicer!

Iggy, I've had Molsen's, it's good ....but when you wake up it feels like you were hit in the head by a puck a dozen or more times.

WC Fields always said never trust a man that doesn't drink! I suppose I drink only enough really to make me somewhat trustworthy. Maybe 2 or 3 beers in a week sometimes 3 months in between drinks...so I just like to drink something nice when I do, likewise with wine. After about 3 drinks I'm asleep these days :-)

When you get out of your out of your 20s and your an athlete drinking is really not good. It causes inflamation. Not a good thing when you paddle a lot. I ice both my shoulders after every surf. I feel like a major league pitcher. I like to drink when I'm out with friends but man it takes its toll on me more than it used to. I would much rather vaporize a little green!

Cross training TOTAL GYM is a good work out and later I usually resort to "BED SURFING", Isnt that why they call them "LAY-DAYS". Of course there is a WEEK" every month I have to find something else" to do when the surf is flat..

My Wife bought herself (YEAH!!!) a long skate board this year. Funny I am starting to use it more than her, looking at quiet down hill streets as the flat day alternative. Its like surfing a huge point break, carving from side to side of the street, She follows me in the van so I dont have to walk back the 1/2 mile. Id be interested in that new surfskate board if it did not cost more than a used Firewire...

Cool....IGGY that you? totally flat ground and you can just pump the speed out, what model did you get? length? I have a wider stance (long legs) and would ride some gradual hills (15 to 25 mph max) carving back and forth.. The Carver Website shows them at $215. each with the C-7 truck. Probably $300 + here in Hawaii.

That's the Monsta.Yup that was last week. Went for a check and saw there was too much ice (don't want to mess un the board) so I took that one out of the turnk of the car. Noah Ericsson is a rider for them as well. The beauty of it is that it generates speed even going uphill due to the C7 truck. This thing kept my sanity during winter when there were icebergs the size of cars coming downstream!!!
Today I got a 3hrs sesh with the water at around 8C and outside temp around 16C on my spitfire... oh man what a joy even though the wave was flat!!.My legs are burnt!!!! Feels soooooo good!!!
