    Hi Chris,
The 5'10" was almost there. I just know I'd like to be able to catch waves as easily as possible in an uber groveller like the spud.
There's quite often the lament with sweet potatoes that they should have/could have gone shorter.
The other side of the coin is to be able to get that much glide out of a board they would normally be resorting to a 9' plus longboard and any length sweet potato is still going to do turns in a shorter space than a longboard.
My query over on the Addvance thread has been well addressed (thanks).
The P'nator is still brilliant...design wise...as it offers so much floatation in a lip smacking package.
It's a board anyone struggling on shortboards should take out for a demo surf.

    Hey Chris

Looking at the Potato-Nator for knee high waves up to waist high, i've got a 5'11 El Fuego on the way and was looking at getting a 5'10 maybe, i know the 5'8 would be around the recomended size and volume but like I said its for small weak waves, anything waist high up i'll surf the Fuego.....just something to replace a 9'1 Longboard really.....

    2ftandjunky,
Don't be suprised if the P'nator gets a lot of love.
Surfed mine today in 3-4' peaky, punchy beachbreaks which were very rippable and had the best surf I've had, in months, on it.
The FAMT robber fins are brilliant for me in this board.
Smooth drive and loose enough off the top without sliding. Solid as rock on the backhand.
The blackstix EA thrusters didn't have enough hold on the bottom turns, in these size waves backhand but the robbers were brilliant.

Just seen a real picture on google of the bottom deck and it looks all time! I used to have a Spitfire and to me it looks like a better version of that for the waves I get 80% of the time.....might change my Fuego for one and just get the 5'8 for a better allrounder

Hey guys, currently I live in central florida so I manly see 1-6ft swells. Im so confused between picking a new board. Ive been looking at the el fuego, the dom, the SP, and now the Potatonator. I want something that can surf garbage waves but still hold its own against 5footers and such. Also I reeeally DONT want a board that is super stiff and difficult to turn and do cuts. im 5'9 and weigh about 169.

Spitfire!!!.I might be biased here but I love that board. I'll be getting a potatonator this year cause I believe this board will suit perfectly the conditions we have here. But that Spit I've surfed from 2ft to 6ft and is a joy to ride. It might suffer a bit on hollow waves but I don't think you'll be seeing much of that in Florida
    165cms 89Kgs dry...working on that at the moment...but not working!!! :)
