    Thanks Bumper,

What size SP do you have? Do you find the PN avoids that paddling issue with SP where a smaller wave's energy passes you by?

Hey Roger, I think this issue is compounded by the length of the board you are riding. So the Sweet Potato, because it's ridden so short, can cause that feeling.

The Potato-nator being ridden a bit longer will help deal with this, defInitely. Just make sure you get dims and a volume that work for you.

    Cheers and hope this helps.

5'8. When it's clean I don't have issues paddling the sp but when there is a bit of chop or onshore wind the pnator seems to paddle better. Problably for the reasons Chris gave. I'm a board science novice. Both sessions this weekend were in choppy onshore waves. Looking forward to surfing it in clean waves eventually. I think the sp surfs best for me in small clean longboard type waves or fat slow high tide peaks or fun rampy chop (see sterling Spencer's video). The pnator for a stronger surfer works well in those conditions too. However If someone is still trying to develop the nuances or surfing small waves efficiently I would lead them to the sp. I agree the sp needs to be ridden smaller not bigger. Im fine on a 5'8 but the 5'6 would be preferred now. I'm 6 185 to 190. I've noticed I've progressed quickly on it and it might be time to downsize. Not going to due to the fact that the pnator has me surfing more aggressively in thigh to waist waves. I figure the extra volume in 5 8 sp will still help me outmaneuver longboards in good small waves. the sp has become my longboard unless it's completely gutless then I do take out the paddle board or longboard.

Hi guy's new to the community, just want to say that I bought the Potatonator apon it's release here on the coast and WOW!!! so impressed. It's a 5'10" quad set up with strech honeycomb fins, man dose this thing move.... It reminds me of an old Gorden & Black I use to surf on the Goldie back in the 80's......"AWSOME".

Just tried the AMT's with 3 SB1 trailers which worked really well in a peaky 3' swell.
I've been using the AMTs with their trailer and wanted a bit more hold in the tail.
Next I'll try the Blackstix EAs with the 3 trailers.

BTW I'm 92 kgs and so for me it's not too much fin area but I'm going to try the Blackstix to see how they feel with the 3 small trailers anyway.
I also have a deviant fin to try as well.
    Well actually I have two.
One in Futures base and one in FCS base to try in another FCS shod board.
