Quite a sad day. I had surfed boards that were inspired by his designs. After reading his biography I'd always hoped some day he might be well enough again to get in the water once more. I guess now he's surfing some secret spot only he knows.

Yeah a big shame. I always hoped he'd get back in the water after reading the biography too.
I started re-reading it yesterday, seemed like a good time to do it.
as far as i know, quite quick and peacful, not after breakky...he was still in bed...he talked to his mum..had a turn, then had the attack after passing out...RIP...
