You're a believer in the 508 now, or you think 510? My old college lecturer has a 508 I think, I might try and swap for a few waves next time I see him... Hopefully I hate it. haha

yeah Chris the double barrelled botom contour sets it apart from the Spitfire and gives that speed and release and also enables its to turn on a dime once you are hitting speed down the line, but what impresses me the most is the hidden volume in the front third of the board combined with the nose rocker that enables you to take those hollow drops with ease but also allows easier paddling and down the line speed is incredible. i was having a chat with John Purton of JP surfboards the other day about Volume in boards and that with the new tech; are we all getting a bit carried away with volumes (there is a massive discussion on swaylocks about it 2). But my take on it is Volume can be your Friend (cheers Machado) but it can also be your enemy. My hellfire paddles great but in all my winter garb I sometimes feel weak/sluggish and could do with another litre of volume but yet once you start to paddle into a wave the hellfire sinks in perfect and allows the momentum of the wave to push you in and actually aids an early take off and sets you up perfect. My lost rocket is 37 litre so easier to paddle in the winter garb but yet actually misses a lot of waves as it feels as if its actually bobbing over the top or i end up missing waves or taking hellish late drops especially in clean offshore days. Like i said earlier i tried a friends 602 sub scorcher and it felt too corky and at 36.3 litre and for those low tide sucky takeoffs was out of its comfort zone! Its a whole can of worms on the board volumes and long boarders will probably disagree lol the hellfire is the FUTURE just gutted you brought out the HellRazor as most people will probably think its a better board ??

I think the Hellfire and Hellrazor are 2 really strong models. I see a lot of people who loved the dom/spit getting one or both of these and realizing how versatile AND unique they are. I have had 3 incredible sessions on my 511 hellrazor and I am really nervous I won't ride my Alternator again. its is such a DAMN good board and it caught me completely off guard!! Did not expect it to work as well as it has for me!
The Hellfire is maybe the most versatile board in the Firewire lineup, while the hellrazor takes all the positives from the HF and just increases the bottom line. Similar versatility, perhaps slightly smaller on the bigger end of the wave spectrum, but a champion performer. And I will tell you, it grovels like a champ. At my weight, just that extra width is all the difference. I was huntington hopping little inside sections at Swamis recently that I never expected to make on a refined 27L, high performance 511.
Stoked on these 2.
