I think it's slowed some shipments down a little but the factory itself is unaffected. I think they are in the process of getting back on top of things now.

I'm sure Chris will chime in with better info but that's what I've been told and read on here.

Do you know whereabouts of the FW HQ
I know Bangkok was badly affected which would probably be the main transport hub for any export but as for stock I guess that would depend on the location of the factory
Any of the news websites have a good run down of events
My heart goes out to the Thai people and hopefully they get back to their normal lives asap

Hey Just a few words on this

Thai people and families: Agree 100%.  Its sad, all natural disasters are. The Thai natives do have tremendous resolve so look for everyone there to work hard and fast to return the busting city of Bangkok to normal as quickly as possible.  From the top down, Firewire has done everything in its power to help.  Our CEO personally canvased the industry for donations and we just sent 8 massive pallets of goods overseas to help those who lost everything.   its good to know that we are all part of an incredibly generous industry and any thanks for such a gesture needs to be directed at the industry as a whole, not just Firewire.  Additionally, for the time that we were offline, Firewire continued to pay all employees that had to head home to deal with the flooding.   Our primary concern was with the safety of our employees and we have emerged on the other side of the disaster with a great feeling and a crew of folks who eagerly jumped right back into "full speed ahead" production.

Signed Taj Board Auction: This is insider news, but at the end of this week, or early the following week, we will launch a semi-silent auction (you'll see what that means) on 2 signed Taj boards to raise money for Thai relief efforts.  Anyone in the position to bid is greatly thanked.

Delayed Firewire Shipments? yeah so, in a nutshell, that Transworld article is out dated at this point.  Everything is up and running, but logistically, ALL industries in Thailand, not just Firewire, got bottlenecked so inventory going in and out of the country was less than perfect for all involved.  We did have many boards already on the water so its hiccup with a few delays here and there...most notably to the release dates of new models.

Other than that, everything is back to normal.

    Cheers

Good news. That's very cool how the employees have been treated, good on you guys and the industry as a whole for doing what they can to help out.
