"Exponential improvements in performance can only be achieved through new materials and construction methods which in turn will open up new design opportunities"

    All,

Had a test run last night in very light wind with the new 6'0" quad model. To give you an idea, it was blowing 10-15 mph, I weigh about 215, and was on a 15M kite riding the 6'-0" quad.

Unbelievable flotation, light and very snappy in mushy waves. It rides upwind like a charm, and turns on a dime. It will work magic when the surf/wind picks up.

I would recommend this board for anybody in lighter wind due to the volume and quad setup.

    More reviews to come.

I agree! I rode the 600 Quad proto in Fiji during September and was really happy with its upwind performance and how loose it felt on the wave. It performs great in lighter wind and throws a sweet spray off the top.

Great to hear your comments Tobes. Killer board and I am stoked to give the other two in the quiver a shot here soon once some wind shows up.

So far I have logged about 15 or so hours on the 6'0" quad setup. The board is magical in light wind. Living in light wind San Diego, this board is key getting upwind. It loves to tack at a good angle with ease.

This board as noted on the site is great for the mushier surf, probably about up to head high or so. I did find when a little overpowered the tail did like to slide out when making hard bottom turns. This is probably where you want to make the switch the tri set up for the added stick on your turns with more speed.

All in all though, this is my favorite board so far in the lineup. More testing results to come!

Hey nofootbelts, waht kind of fins are you using on the board presently???.Are you using straps or tail pad for the back foot???.One thing I noticed on mine is that the holes for the footstraps are located a bit too close to the tail!!.I use tail pad so it doesn't really matter to me.

    Iggy,

I use the standard fin setup for a quad. I can't say much for the strap holes because I really only ride strapless. The foot holes do not look like they are too far back. For best performance in my humble opinion, they are positioned as they should just of the back fins where you drive your feet in bottom turns and off a lip.

But I just put a tail bad on mine. Foot placement I believe is crucial most and best with a wider stance to cover more foam in your stance. The more foam you cover with your feet, the better balance and leverage you have when hitting a wave. Too close and the board bounces like a bunny rabbit in the surf.

Enjoy the boards. Drop the foot belts and go strapless!
