Stainless self-tapping, no smaller than 8 gauge. Length depends on how thick your straps are. Felix uses 1.25” long.
  1.
Make sure to get a nylon and stainless washer as well to help hold.

I have the same problem and just want to know the size (length and width) to place the straps being sure not making any damage on this beautiful board.

If you have these measurements in Cm it could be super cool!!!

If you're in a hurry, It seems that the screws provided with the Naish Surfkite range are compliant, but be careful they need to be shortened a little.
    Hope this help

I have been looking at which board to buy for the last 3 months... Firewire Board ordered & arriived yesterday, straps & pad arrived today but so far have been unable to find the right screws... killer... potentially I will miss a session on my new board on Saturday for the sake of £1 worth of screws... Gutted

Surely it would make sense to sell the boards with them included...

Damskydive - from looking at this page (http://www.mugss.org/useful/dictionary/screw%20sizes/) 8 gauge is 4mm, assuming Felix uses standard footstraps the length will be 31.75mm

Looks like I'm going to have to squeeze a trip to the DIY shop in tomorrow to get some stainess steel 32mm x 5mm self tapping screws - 8(

I finally found some zinc coated ones at the 3rd DIY store I went to but was concerned they would rust so ordered these http://www.sailboats.co.uk/productinfo.aspx?productID=A4267

They fit the rear pad perfectly as I have a tail pad but suspect I will need to cut the fron ones down to enable me to tighten the front strap properly...

On the positive got out on my 6ft quad fish & it was amazing

    Happy kiting

Quick update, new boards now have the option of ordering with a pad/strap setup that includes screws for anyone looking to get a new board. Instruction set is here:http://www.firewiresurfboards.com/kitesurfing/quiver_boards.php?boardid=kitesurfing
