I'm looking for a new board - I bought a Naish Global 5 '7 and although its fun when the winds get up its way too small for me (180 lbs). I am going to be in Sydney in February and want to pick up a new board, any recommendations for what I should get? I ride in Japan where the winds can get pretty strong in winter 30+ and the surf 3-6ft sometimes bigger if we are lucky. I also have a Wainman board that is quite wide and voluminous, so im thinking I would like to go for a narrower board but I dont have enough quiver experience....Generally I ride strapped but I'd like to move away from that if poss, and I think I prefer 3 fins rather than quad....Any advice would really be appreciated

alan, the Taj 5'11" kiteboard is a super sweet ride that would be a good fit given the description of your current quiver and riding conditions. It has less volume than the rest of the FireWire lineup, is great strapped and something you can grow into strapless. Good luck and let us know if we can provide any more info.

alan, send a note to our gal down under, [email protected] (nikki) and she will get you squared away. If nikki can't get you the name of a shop they will direct ship to location in Sydney.
