    Hi,

i was looking for some feedback between the two boards. I currently have the 6'0 quad which is an amazing board up to around 20 knots, at 25 it's definately a bit of a handful. I kite in Western Australia and a lack of wind isn't a problem but i'm having a hard time deciding which of the other two boards to add for when it gets up. I'm only interested in strapless riding and weigh about 83 kgs (185 lbs). How much wind am i going to need to get the most out of the Taj model with my weight? I'm leaning towards this as i think the Flexfire is going to have too much volume for those high wind days.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey Will,

The Taj is the best seller and an amazing ride. For your size and WA riding conditions you shouldn't have any problems and you'll appreciate the performance. We have a number of guys around here at your same weight and they all rave about the board. It would be a great compliment to your quad which you can use on those days when the winds light.

Let us know if you have any more questions and thanks for choosing Firewire!

    Brian,

thanks for the response. Nah, mate i think you've told me what i was after..... I'm looking for something which i can get tail down a bit more on and slow it down if needed, the quad is just too quick with high winds. Ideally, i'd love to get this in a 6'0 rather than a 5' 11 but that's life. Any plans to expand the range from what it is now?

Yeah, got onto firewire's surfing a while ago and made the move to kite on them this summer, very impressed so far!

    thanks,
    Will

    Will,

That board should be spot on for what you want to do. It's a bit less overall volume so should feel really good under your feet on those windy days and more controllable than the quad. We regularly review what boards are in the lineup and recently added the 5'8" Dominator. Check back occasionally for any announcements on new models.

Keep up the kiting and good waves to you!
