I have never enjoyed using any kite specific surf boards to kite or surf with compared to my standard surfy, which has ment a fair few broken boards. I did however get a go on a hellfire 5'6 surfboard recently and thought it would make a great all rounder and would also work well on the kite. If I was to try the hellfire stick against the kite specific one, that includes the unneccessary strap inserts (for me anyway) would I notice any considerable difference?? I would use the board almost 90% of the time without the kite in waves ranging from 2-8ft and I only tip the scales at 70kg...

Honestly, the boards work great in the surf just paddling...and I was very surprised in the performance DESPITe the added weight, which I did not really notice. Give it a try and be stoked!
