I am in the process of upgrading my boards and currently looking for 2 new surfboards.

Ideally I want light lively boards and they must have good flex (stiff=sore knees) and to a point I am happy to forego strength for performance.

When powered up (18-25kn) I like to ride strapped and when the wind is less (13-18kn) I like to ride strapped or strapless.

Based in Perth (Australia) so local waves are generally poor quality although winter can produce good waves and trips north and south will find good surf.

Me 73kg and have been kiting for 5 years and only ride directionals and not interested in paddling.
    Currently using 6, 8 and 10m Reos

    So I am thinking
KP1 - is that the Taj replacement?
KHF510 – not sure if the width at 19.75” and volume 29.4 will be too much for me.

    Any comments?

The KP1 is a great board and is replacing the previous Taj kite model. Highly recommended. Based on your weight the KHF506 would be a better call than the KHF510. The KHF510 would most likely be to much board for you. I've been riding the KHF506 as my light wind board (lot's of float) and I'm tipping the scales at 75kg.

    Hope this helps,
