Overview "My new fin template with Firewire and FCS is built in FCS’s Air Core technology, and shape wise, the fin template falls into FCS’s Performer category.  The Performer category is reserved for the fins FCS makes that are created to work in all around conditions, and in a wide variety of boards.  Creating a fin in this category was important to me because of the variety of the boards I design. One day I’m thinking about FRK’s for Kelly and the next day the Twice Baked is on my mind. Those two boards occupy polar opposite sides of the spectrum in terms of surfing talent and wave type. I also design boards in the middle of the spectrum, like the Dominator and No Brainer.  By having a new all-around fin like this within FCS’s range, I’m able to stop thinking about what the fins are doing to my designs and focus completely on the surfboard designs themselves.  This fin set is the neutral, perfectly performing fin element that I can introduce to any surfboard shape.  I prefer the five-fin set because it lets you ride a thruster in your narrow-tailed boards, and a quad in your wide tailed boards. But if you’re certain you only like thrusters, you can buy the three-fin set only.
