DESCRIPTION

The Greedy Beaver has a real shortboard feel with a compressed longboard outline, a true crossover board with midlength retro glide and shortboard maneuverability. Put it on rail while engaging the single to double concave, step on the rounded pin and it surfs like a shortboard in the pocket. Or take advantage of the single to double concave and large planing surface to trim effortlessly over dead sections. The beveled rail reduces the overall thickness, adding performance including rapid direction changes.

Raise your wave count every session with the paddle power of the Greedy Beaver while turning on a dime as you thread your way through the pack.

6'4" Greedy Beaver

"I've been riding the Greedy Beaver for a few months now and absolutely love it. The board is super fast, easy to generate speed, and catches waves with very little effort. What surprised me most is how well it surfs once you're up and riding—it has the paddle power and wave count of a bigger board but still feels responsive and turns more like a shortboard thanks to the pulled-in tail. I went with the 6'4" even though it's a little bigger than what I would normally ride, and I'm glad I did. For reference, I'm 5'10", 175 lbs, and an intermediate surfer. I mostly surf Oceanside Harbor and other breaks around San Diego, and this board has worked great in a wide range of conditions. If you're on the fence about sizing, don't be afraid to go a little bigger than you're used to. The extra volume helps you get into more waves without sacrificing performance. Overall, it's one of the most fun and versatile boards I've owned. Highly recommend."

Had a 68 GB

"Had a 6'8"" GB in Timbertek a while back and didn't care for it. Had a friend say that the GB Volcanics were available. Found a 6'10"" Volcanic Repreve close by and nabbed it. It's, of course, much lighter than its Timbertek counterpart. So after a couple days surfing it. . . In knee to waist high Florida Surf…meh. Of course it paddles great but In surf like this I still prefer my 8'3"" Timbertek Gem for these conditions. . . . but. . . As soon as there was some push in the wave and it was about chest high (Florida chest high) the GB absolutely comes alive and is freaken magic. BTW my fin set up is large twin with a small trailer. Pumping down the wave face, OTLs, and floaters are effortless. The GB makes it so easy. Absolutely loving it. Can't wait to try it in head high surf and perhaps on waves that are a bit more square. The Volcanic Repreve technology for this shape is a game changer. So much better than Timbertek for this model/shape. Cannot recommend enough! And to Firewire. . . fantastic upgrade to this model!!"
