Paddles Fast and Holds on Steeps

"I’m 150 lbs, 5’7”, and 55 yrs. I got a 5’8” (33 L) Revo a few years back and still love it. I’m comfortable enough surfing that in up waves up to a couple of feet overhead, but I wanted a board that could hold in up to DOH and that could paddle fast (I ain’t getting any younger). I was torn between getting the 6’ and 6’3” Revo Max. I wanted a go-to board that would be solid for up to DOH (and bigger waves than that I’ll jump on my “proper” step-up. ). In terms of sizing, I was worried that the 6’3” might be too corky, for my needs, And… I obsessed that the 6’0” (at 31. 3 L, I think), might compromise my paddling speed/wave count. I pulled the trigger on the 6’ and I am so stoked! It paddles faster than I anticipated. (Even with less volume than my Revo, perhaps the extra length and minor tweaks (a tad less rocker) makes it feel even easier to glide into waves. ) In the past week I’ve surfed it three times: two sessions at a point, one of the days well overhead; and this morning’s session at a speedy beach break head high+. It felt so solid underfoot; super fast, and when my foot’s on the tail I was able to go vertical on a few and cutback with near enough to the pocket. My new favorite board."

Game changer. . . feel like 64

"Game changer. . . feel like 64 years young as opposed to 64 years old. Thanks Tomo!"

I just got the

"I just got the 6'3"" revo max (put the Tomo Keels in it). I weigh about 140 lbs. I LOVE the board. The planing hull up front is so sick -- feels like you can paddle into pretty much anything. It feels like the perfect mini mid-length. Can get you into a ton of waves but I still feel like it turns like a high performance board. I got this board wanting an all around fun-board that can be used in most conditions. . . that's exactly what I got. I've surfed it in both knee to head high waves and I love it!"

Im 55 years old

"I'm 55 years old 86kg experienced surfer . I picked up the 6,6 Revo Max to go along side my 5,11 Cymatic . I planned to use the board on bigger days . Although now I would say it's a great all-rounder very refined rails , the board sits quite low in the water but catches waves very easily and excelerates very quickly off the mark and continues to excelerate goes rail to rail very quickly with the deep V spine down the middle of the board, pressing from heel to toe the thing is so drivey and responsive. As an older guy I'm starting to slow down but with this board I feel like I'm cheating . Thanks Tomo Absolutely love the Revo Max"

Great board from the

"Great board from the couple of sessions I had. Looking forward to test it in more solid waves."

I never review surfboards,

"I never review surfboards, but this one specifically deserves some real positive public feedback. I am 6'7"" tall and 246lbs without a wetsuit. I bought the 6'9"" Revo Max at 47L. This board instantly outperformed all like boards and shorter boards that I own. Paddle power was there, on rail I sprung out of turns more than most, and there was the same confidence backside. The rail is so thin and the foil is low and sharp mid board back. I highly recommend. Thanks FireWire for the pre-release access!"

Ive been riding the

"Ive been riding the 6'9 in some relatively slopey front side pointbreaks near me, and i have to say that this is one of the more unique and smile producing boards i have had under my feet in years. The long rail line is easy to tip over and the pinched rails allows it to sink through a turn, then the squash tail has that quick release off the top when you reengage it. I love mine with the Machado Keels, and was surprised at how user friendly and unique the Revo Max is. Not sure why they called it the Revo* as it feels nothing like that boards. But man. . . it is a blast! 10/10"

I really like the

"I really like the board( but I would choose another board for smaller, softer waves. It is thinner, so it can use a little more push. Maybe waist high and above to make it zing!"
